At the height of the stamp investment market they were sold at multiples of the current asking price. At the time it was difficult for the marketers to keep up with the demand from investors for these treasures. Each of these popular stamps have stood the test of time and haven't lost their popularity in the hearts of today's collectors.
You will notice, when browsing this Special Purchase section that each stamp or set of stamps was chosen for inclusion because of it's unique historical significance. Every stamp is mounted inside a sealed protective plastic stamp pouch exactly as pictured. Many are on an 8½x11 inch informational stamp sheet.
